About Ales
Ales is a collective in the Gard division in the Occitanie locale in southern France. It is one of the sub-prefectures of the office. It was once known as Alais. Ales lies 40 kilometers north-northwest of Nimes, on the left bank of the Gardon River, which half encompasses it. It is situated at the foot of the Cevennes, close to the Cevennes National Park.
