The region in what is currently Tuusula was situated in the bigger region of Sipoo. In 1643, it turned into a different area in the region, and in 1653, it turned into a different region. Tuusula's limits have not generally continued as before: in 1924 the district of Kerava split from here; in 1950 the region of Korso was part between Tuusula, Kerava, and Sipoo; and in 1951 the region of Jarvenpaa split from here. The territory had dependably been a genuinely rich zone, hence reassuring cultivating. The advancement of different ventures started in 1795, when an ironworks was made in Kellokoski that worked until the 1980s. The foundation of a railroad in Jokela encouraged the development.
Not long after this modern time another part of Tuusulan history was figured it out. The Tuusulanjärvi lake pulled in numerous specialists who needed to paint the lovely scene. Following the strides of Aleksis Kivi, the Finnish national artist who spent the most recent long stretches of his life in a hovel on the shores of the lake, Jean Sibelius, Juhani Aho, and Pekka Halonen even settled their principle living arrangements here. As of late these houses have moved toward becoming vacationer locales, particularly Sibelius' home Ainola. Additionally, Tuusula Lake Road on the eastern shore of the lake is an outside historical center.
