About Kaarina
Kaarina is a small town and municipality of Finland. It is situated in the Southwest Finland district and is a neighboring town of Turku, which is the capital of Southwest Finland, in this way Kaarina is a piece of the Greater Turku locale. The municipality has a population of 33,449 in 31 January 2019 and covers a territory of 179.58 square kilometers of which 29.15 km2 is water. The population thickness is 222.49 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish, with a Swedish minority and for example a Swedish far reaching school. Bilinguality was proposed however dismissed 2015. The celebrated fixation craftsman Tom of Finland was conceived in Kaarina. Kaarina has a notable football crew Kaarinan Pojat. The municipality of Kuusisto was combined with Kaarina in 1946. The municipality of Piikkio was combined with Kaarina on January 1, 2009. In the meantime, Kaarina received the crest of Piikkio.
