About Espoo Cathedral

The Espoo Cathedral is a medieval stone church in Espoo, Finland. The house of God is situated in the locale of Espoon keskus, close to the Espoonjoki stream. The most seasoned parts of the congregation were finished in the 1480s and it is along these lines the most seasoned protected working in the city. The congregation turned into a house of prayer in 2004 after the Diocese of Espoo was separated from the Diocese of Helsinki. The church building grounds incorporate a memorial park, a vicarage and an area lobby finished in 1995.
Notwithstanding being the seat of the Diocese of Espoo, it fills in as the congregation for the Espoo Cathedral Parish and hosts different shows and different occasions including the "Organ Night and Aria" show arrangement. The church was initially planned in the late fifteenth century by an obscure "Espoo ace" and worked in the vicinity of 1485 and 1490 under his watch. The main outstanding parts of the medieval church are the eastern and western parts of the nave. The weapons room was evacuated in the vicinity of 1804 and 1806 and certain different parts of the congregation, including the first sacristy, were dismantled in the vicinity of 1821 and 1823 when the building was changed over into a more extensive cruciform church.
