About Wexford spiegeltent festival

Wexford Spiegeltent Festival is a completely unique and multifaceted festival that runs every October on Wexford Town's Idyllic Quay the front. It has been a host to the likes of Imedla May, The Boomtown Rats, Hudson Taylor, Blindboy, Paul Noonan and plenty of greater. Set within the stunning surroundings of the authentic Paradiso Spiegeltent, a lovingly handcrafted venue designed and constructed through Flemish Craftsmen within the early 20s, Wexford Spiegeltent Festival has a air of olde worlde mystery that blends seamlessly with the first-class in present day enjoyment. It is a in reality unique experience, and on the grounds that 2012 has grown to be one among the most important and maximum successful multi-style festivals in Ireland.

 

The Spiegeltents have spent nearly one hundred years travelling to fairs and fairgrounds throughout Europe, Australia and the Americas, and have played host to the World’s great cabaret artists, musicians, comedians and burlesque performers.  Since Marlene Dietrich sang “Falling in Love Again” at the stage inside the Nineteen Thirties, their magic mirrors have meditated heaps of artists, audiences and exclusive gatherings and we're proud and inspired to hold this subculture alive and thriving on Wexford’s idyllic Quay year after year.
