About Wangdue Tshechu
It is a yearly festival to celebrate the great deeds of Guru Rinpoche, Bhutan's supporter holy person who is credited for spreading the educating of Mahayana Buddhism in the Himalayan region. Tsechu celebrations are held each harvest time in each area of Bhutan. The dates of the festival differ from area to region and year to year.
