About Torgya monastery
The vivid Torgya is a critical celebration of the Monpa clan who live in the western social circle of Arunachal Pradesh. It is praised in religious communities for three days of the eleventh month of the lunar schedule i.e., 14th to 16th January. Torgya's essentialness is to bring peace, great wellbeing and welfare of the general population.
Materialistically, Torgya is a pyramidal structure produced using flour around 10 feet high which priests use to start the celebration, and is put before the pictures of gods in the supplication lobby. Wearing a warrior furnish known as Arpu, the Lamas discuss religious writings of Torgya Chhaker.
Amid the evening there is droning to a fire made towards the southern door of the religious community. The Torgya is in the long run tossed into the fire by the Abbot and Lamas with petitions to end shades of malice from influencing the general population, prosperous life and fulfillment of profound yearnings.
