About Ocho Rios Jazz Festival

The Jamaica Ocho Rios Jazz Festival began in 1991 as a trial one-day occasion called at the time The Ocho Rios "Smaller than expected" Jazz Festival. It was delivered and coordinated by Musician/Journalist Sonny Bradshaw with an end goal to rethink the Jamaican melodic scene and improve the Tourism item by giving a stimulation air that entire families could share and appreciate. Because of that, "Father's Day" was decided for the occasion, Carib Inn Beach Ocho Rios the scene and the "Best Names in Jamaican Jazz" the byline. In three years the celebration developed from one to eight days and turned into the Caribbean's entire jazz excursion, including the best names in Jamaican Jazz and additionally the simple best of worldwide admission.

It brags a Youth Program, day by day free shows, a huge scale Photo Exhibition and occasions huge and little going on all the while everywhere throughout the Island- - Kingston, Montego Bay, Negril, Runaway Bay- Ocho Rios. It has set up a "Jazz Hall of Fame" perceiving those Jamaican and Caribbean Musicians who have separated themselves universally while adding to the improvement of the work of art.
