About International Day of Yoga
Yoga is an old physical, mental and spiritual practice that began in India. The word 'yoga' gets from Sanskrit and intends to join or to join together, symbolizing the association of body and awareness. Today it is polished in different structures far and wide and keeps on developing in fame. Worldwide Day of Yoga, or ordinarily and informally alluded to as Yoga Day, is praised every year on 21 June since its origin in 2015.
A worldwide day for yoga was announced collectively by the United Nations General Assembly UNGA. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN address recommended the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and offers exceptional centrality in numerous parts of the world.
