About Bhadrapad Mela
Bhadrapad Mela Temple is organized in the center of the village of Amhabari outside the premises. During the fair, the largest number of Sanghon pilgrim group village is visited. Many of them go on foot, which is particularly rich because it happens immediately after the monsoon, when the landscape is rich with greenery, streams are filled with flashing water and the air is fresh.
During his stay at Ambaji, pilgrims spent their time in prayer and devotion and visited other nearby temples. Some of them participate in reading of Saptashati: 700 verses in praise of Goddess Amaji. Apart from local shops, temporary stalls are prepared to sell sculptures of food grains, toys, paintings and statues, amulets, bamboo articles etc.
For fun, Mary-Go-Round and Ferry Wheels are set, and Acrobatics is performed. On the night of Purnima, the Sangh also arranges for Bhavai's performance, Garb is sung in a traditional and popular folk drama, and Chakhar Chowk, like ordinary musical instruments such as pakhaaj, hunger and cymbals.
