About Balanghai Festival
The Balanghai Festival is a festival in Butuan, Agusan del Norte to remember the happening to the early transients that settled Butuan territory on board the Balangay boats. This movement has been gone back to before 500 b.c. building up Butuan as the most established settlement in the Philippine islands, the celebration observes "Before there was the Philippines, there was Butuan, The Kingdom of Butuan". Numerous city wide occasions happen including a city wide craftsmanship appear for nearby craftsman, a few move troops take part in the Balanghai parade and in addition performing theater bunches which reenact the landing of the Balangay ships from ious neighboring clans and sensational reenactments of inborn question prompting the development of barangays.
The Balanghai Festival is celebrated by ten costumed groups wearing social ensembles of the time, diving on Butuan and walking, moving and performing through the city.
