About Sensuntepeque
Sensuntepeque is a city and municipality within the Cabanas branch of El Salvador. it is the seat of the department and essential metropolis within the area. Sensuntepeque is placed about 83 kilometres northeast of the capital, San Salvador, at an altitude of 820 metres. within the neighborhood Pipil language also called "Nawat", and much like Nahuatl, Sensuntepeque approach "400 hills." The name refers to the various hills within the place.
The metropolis became based as a Pipil Indian village in 1550, and in 1799 it have become head of the birthday party of Titihuapa. Colonized by the Spanish, it have become an evangelical village. On December 20, 1811, its populace rose towards Spanish colonial rule. It proclaimed independence in 1821, for the duration of the government of José María Cornejo and formally raised its status to that of a city. In March 1871, the city changed into raided by way of Salvadorian Liberals with Honduran army backing after Honduras d warfare on El Salvador.
