About Jucuapa
Jucuapa is a municipality in the branch of Usulután, El Salvador. According to the legit census of 2007, it has a populace of 18 442 inhabitants. The city is a pre-Columbian Pipil village. It is anticipated that via the year 1740 it had about 80 population, even as in 1770 there had been 668 inhabitants.
It entered in 1786 to the Party of San Miguel. In the Republican era, it became part of the branch of the identical name, in 1824. It obtained the title of village on February 20, 1853, and that same year it surpassed to the branch of Usulutan. On February 4, 1867, Jucuapa turned into erected as a district, segregating itself from the demarcation of Chinameca. After the Rural Police with Rural Police Judges became regulated on May 16, 1868, Don Tomás Cisneros turned into appointed as Judge of the Rural Police of the District of Jucuapa, Don Tranquilino Lopez being his deputy. The municipality has an area of 36.11 km², and the headland has an altitude of 480 meters above sea stage. The festivities are celebrated in honor of San Simon, within the month of October.
