About Naqadah
Naqada is a city on the west financial institution of the Nile in Qena Governorate, Egypt. It turned into recognised in Egyptian as nbwt, which have become Coptic, which become borrowed as classical antiquity as Ombos. Its name derives from Egyptian nbw, that means "gold", as a result of the proximity of gold mines in the Eastern Desert. Naqada incorporates some villages along with Tukh, Khatara, Danfiq and Zawayda. It stands close to the site of a necropolis from prehistoric Egypt round 4400–3000 BCE.
Naqada has given its name to the large Naqada lifestyle, which existed at the time here and at different sites, including el Badari, the Gerzeh culture and Nekhen. The big amount of stays from Naqada have enabled the courting of the complete culture, throughout Egypt and environs. The city became the centre of the cult of Set and big tombs have been constructed there round c. 3500 BC. The metropolis is certainly one of few to have had a Coptic majority in 1960.
