About Colossi of Memnon
Memnon whose name signifies "the Steadfast" or "Unflinching" was said to be the child of Eos, the goddess of sunrise. Memnon was a saint of the Trojan War, a King of Ethiopia who drove his armed forces from Africa into Asia Minor to help shield the ambushed city, however, was eventually killed by Achilles.
Memnon was related to the giants as a result of the revealed cry at first light of the northern statue see underneath, which wound up known as the Colossus of Memnon. In the long run, the whole Theban Necropolis turned out to be for the most part alluded to as the Memnonium making him "Leader of the west" as on account of the god Osiris who was called the head of the west.
