About National Pantheon of the Dominican Republic
The National Pantheon changed into constructed from 1714-1746 by way of the Spaniard Geronimo Quezada y Garçon and became originally a Jesuit church. The structure was built in the neoclassic-renaissance style. It housed governmental offices until 1956. In 1956, Spanish architect Javier Borroso renovated the structure to serve its new motive as a national mausoleum, by order of then dictator Rafael Trujillo. Originally, Trujillo estimated being interred at the National Pantheon, but these days it is the vicinity where the usa's maximum well-known humans are commemorated, among others Trujillo's assassins.
