Museo Antropologico y de Arte Contemporaneo or MAAC is a modern day museum in Guayaquil, Ecuador celebrating Ecuadorian, Latin American and Pre-Columbian artwork and lifestyle. MAAC is a welcome addition to Malecon 2000, the renovated riverwalk in Guayaquil. Inaugurated on 30 July 2003, MAAC targets to represent itself in a catalyst for the improvement of the local, regional and national creative way of life. MAAC's mission is to harness the institutional cultural patrimony, with the aid of showcasing a treasured series of 50,000 native Ecuadorian archaeological portions and over 3,000 cutting-edge works of artwork.
