About Las Conceptas Museum
Las Conceptas Museum, or Museo de Monasterio de las Conceptas. The building has been delightfully preserved and the first building materials - for example, the block floors and the columns, window casings and entryways that are produced using a coarse wood - still enhance the structure. As per the records the development of the Las Conceptas Museum began in 1682, yet the religious community was just finished in 1729.
Amid the 1800's, different structures were included, for example, the clinic that was worked in the year 1875. Luckily, the Museo de Monasterio de las Conceptas survived the years in moderately great condition and redesigns to open the religious community as a gallery began in 1982. On 3 November 1986, the historical center opened its ways to people in general. It is currently a most loved among the attractions in Ecuador and numerous travelers rush to the historical center each year.
In expansion to the craftsmanships, there is instructive data identifying with the lives of the Nuns of the Conception, ying media showcases, specialties and impermanent presentations. The lasting shows that are situated in each room have an alternate subject joined to it. For instance: holy messengers, holy people, furniture, toys and puppets, miniatures and glasswork and porcelain. Photographic presentations and different mediums portray the historical backdrop of the religious community and of the exhibition hall.
