About The Old Town

The Old Town in Aarhus, Denmark, is an outside town historical center situated in the Aarhus Botanical Gardens. In 1914 the historical center opened as the world's first outdoors exhibition hall of its kind, focusing on town culture instead of town culture, and right up 'til today it stays one of only a couple of top of the line Danish galleries outside Copenhagen, serving in excess of 400,000 guests pr. year. Today the gallery comprises of 75 authentic structures gathered from 20 townships in all parts of the nation. The town itself is the fundamental fascination yet most structures are open for guests; rooms are either brightened in the first recorded style or sorted out into bigger displays of which there are 5 consistent with differing topics.
The museum buildings are organized into a residential community of predominantly half-timbered structures initially raised in the vicinity of 1550 and the late nineteenth century in different parts of the nation and later moved to Aarhus amid the twentieth century. In all there are exactly 27 rooms, chambers or kitchens, 34 workshops, 10 basic supplies or shops, 5 recorded greenhouses, a mail station, a traditions office, a school and a theater. There are a few basic supplies, coffee shops and workshops spread all through the town with exhibition hall staff working in the parts of town figures i.e. dealer, metal forger and so forth adding to the hallucination of a "living" town.
