About Store Heddinge
Store Heddinge is a Danish town in Region Sjælland. It is the administrative seat of Stevns Municipality, and has a population of 3,362. The town is located within the eastern aspect of Denmark, at the Stevns Peninsula. The city came into life at some stage in the 13th century, and Saint Katharina Church Sct. Katharina kirke is also from that time. The town received privileged fame as a merchant town in 1441. A Latin preparatory college was founded inside the metropolis in 1620, but became closed down in 1739.
The meeting residence Danish, tinghuset in Store Heddinge turned into built around 1838 on the newly constructed Nytorv plaza as a mixture city corridor, assembly hall, and jail. It was constructed by using architect Jorgen Hansen Koch, who was Director for the Royal Danish Academy of Art Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi. The water tower is from 1912 and is fabricated from limestone, from close by Stevns Klint, and purple brick.
