About Skagen Odde Nature Center
The Skagen Odde Nature Centre at the northern tip of Denmark's Jutland, is a museum committed to the results of sand, water, wind and mild. It changed into designed in 1989 by using Jørn Utzon, the distinguished architect at the back of the Sydney Opera House. Under the leadership of his son Jan, the centre was finished in 2000. As the centre is dedicated to the herbal factors which have been so essential to Utzon's paintings, it's miles rarely sudden that he became invited to be its architect. Utzon's idea was that the centre need to develop out of nature as a response to the soul,
reflecting silence, tranquillity and contemplation, so hard to locate in contemporary international. The "Desert Fortress", as it has been called, is enclosed by means of a brick wall, 4 metres high, which protects the 4,000 square metre interest location from the often stormy climate outside. The gray concrete homes are crowned with black roofing felt. A variety of separate pavilions, each with a pyramidal roof and periscope-like skylight, record sand, water, wind and light. Between them are small courtyards, swimming pools and walkways.
