Ryomgård

Ryomgard is a Danish country Metropolis with 2.460 inhabitants positioned 29 kilometers north east of to the counrty.’s 2nd biggest town Aarhus. As such Ryomgard is in component a pendler metropolis to Aarhus. Ryomgard lies inside the center of the peninsula, Djursland, protruding into the Kattegat Sea from some other peninsula, Jutland, that extends up from northern Germany. It’s a 216 kilometer drive to the German border. From Ryomgard it’s a two and a half hour drive via vehicle and ferry to the Danish capital, Copenhagen at the island, Zealand. Ryomgard is located in Syddjurs Municipality which covers the southern half of of the Djursland-peninsula.

Ryomgard lies 14 kilometers from the ocean. Before roads have been commonplace in Denmark previous to 1700 the region in which Ryomgard lies turned into one of the few passageways over the swamp and lake divide that separated the northern part of Djursland from the southern component. There was a toll station for passage, close to the manor residence, Gammel Ryomgård, that dates back to the 17th century.
