About Randers Museum of Art
Randers Museum of Art is a Danish art museum in Randers in northeastern Jutland, Denmark. The museum is placed in the cultural centre of Kulturhuset in the town centre and presentations some of the primary works of Danish painters, particularly those of the 19th and twentieth centuries. Randers Museum of Art is housed within the cultural centre of Kulturhuset, designed by way of the architect Flemming Lassen and opened in 1969. In February 2009, the Danish employer 3XN won a opposition for building new premises for the artwork museum. The new constructing become designed as a transition among town and nation-state, artwork and nature.
Covering a place of seven,550 m2, it became to residence 3 exhibition galleries, an auditorium, a restaurant and a shop. Efforts to raise some DKK 250 million for the task have however no longer been a success.
