About Prasto
Prasto is a town with a populace of 3,821 in Vordingborg Municipality in Region Sjælland at the east coast of the island of Zealand. The islands of Maderne, Storeholm, and Lilleholm are a part of the Prasto Fjord Wildlife reserves. Præsto is a former municipality As of January 1, 2007, Prasto municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen. It become merged with Langebak, Mon, and Vordingborg municipalities to form an enlarged Vordingborg municipality.
This created a municipality with an area of 615 km² and a complete population of forty six,307. The municipality belongs to the brand new Region Sjælland. The former Prosto municipality included an area of 107 km², and had a total population of 7,608 . Its final mayor became Ole Moller Madsen, a member of the Venstre political birthday celebration. Bosei Sports High School, a folks high faculty, is located in Prasto, inside the former Tokai University Boarding School in Denmark campus. The Tokai school turned into a Japanese boarding school.
