About Horne Church
Horne Church became installed inside the Late Middle Ages on the southwest a part of the island of Funen, Denmark. This church, based as a Catholic place of worship, is situated inside the village of Horne. The church now not serves as a Catholic parish; it now belongs to the lutheran Church of Denmark. Horne Church is the handiest round church on Funen.
Originally made from granite stonework, it was changed in the 15th century with the addition of Gothic extensions on the east and west. The unique primary spherical church is a ponderous searching medieval structure, connected to which are the rectilinear east and west wings. The alignment of these later extensions was now not pretty set at 180 ranges, so that the resulting critical indoors aisle does not cut up the congregation pews calmly, and the traditional women's side is extra spacious than the guys's. The round roof of the large critical tower is built of lead panels, which bureaucracy an interesting shade and texture comparison to the orange-purple roof tiling of the remainder. The outside stonework has been included over by using many layers of white paint, giving a look of an nearly harled coating.
