Hammel is a town in East Jutland with 7,third inhabitants, positioned 26 km northwest of Aarhus, 44 km southeast of Viborg, 16 km southwest of Hadsten and 15 km west of Hinnerup, that is a municipal seat in Favrskov municipality, which Hammel belongs. Hammel belongs to Hammel Parish, and Hammel Church is located in the metropolis.
The Hammel carriage, the primary Danish-produced automobile, has no connection to the city of Hammel. It was synthetic in 1888 via the Copenhagen machine manufacturer Albert Frederik Hammel. Hammel's history has been characterised by using the close by county of Frijsenborg 2 km east of the town. As late as 1860, Hammel was not considerably larger or exceptional from the opposite parishes in the location. But in 1837, Hammel have become the web site of Frijsenborg-Favrskov Birk. This commenced the improvement, and later observed the pharmacy in 1842, visitor residence in 1851, post workplace in 1864, financial savings bank in 1866, technical faculty in 1882, private real faculty in 1883, meeting constructing, later lodge in 1886, phone change in 1892, county sanatorium in 1893, smartphone exchange in 1892, county hospital in 1893, 94, dairy in 1900 and bank in 1905.
