Guderup

Guderup is a town within the middle of Als with 2,475 inhabitants, placed 12 km southeast of Nordborg, 9 km west of Fynshav and 15 km northeast of Sonderborg. The metropolis belongs to the municipality of Sonderborg and is located inside the Region of Southern Denmark. Guderup belongs to Own Parish.

Own church is placed in Guderup's southern district Egen. It changed into one of the island's oldest villages, but Guderup has now grown with it. The town lies 2-three km south of the small Hjortspring Mose, where the Hjortspring boat became found in 1921. Guderup was a village when it got railway station at the county railways at Als 1898 to 1933. The station became placed 1 km north of the church village Egen, but right now south of Guderup, which it became named after. For some months, the quit station on the stretch from Sonderborg before it become extended to Nordborg. Guderup Station has been preserved at Ostergade 1, now as a pizzeria. In the time as a station metropolis, Guderup received a dairy, motel, bakery, meeting corridor, smartphone change, health practitioner's residence and vehicle restore shop. Even the vicarage was in Guderup.
