Farum is a town within the northeast of the island of Zealand in japanese Denmark, 20 km northwest of Copenhagen. The city has a population of 18,779 1 January 2015. The metropolis is a part of Furesø municipality. Until 2006, it constituted Farum municipality. Farum has existed for more than one thousand years. The name Farum refers back to the founding fathers, sea traders, who migrated from Bremen, Germany. At the time there has been clean passage from the ocean to Farum.
