Arden

Arden municipality was a municipality in North Jutland County on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark till January 1, 2007. The municipality blanketed an area of 228 km2, and had a complete population of eight,513. Its closing mayor changed into Hans Christian Maarup, a member of the Social Democrats political party. The fundamental city and the website online of its municipal council was the town of Arden. The municipality become created in 1970 due to a kommunalreform that blended Astrup, Store Arden, Oue-Valsgaard, Rold-Vebbestrup and Rostrup municipalities.

On January 1, 2007 Arden municipality ceased to exist as the end result of Kommunalreformen. It became merged with former Hadsund and Hobro municipalities, and a part of Mariager Municipality to form the new Mariagerfjord Municipality.
