About Allinge-Sandvig
Allinge-Sandvig is a small town at the northern coast of the Baltic island of Bornholm, Denmark. Its populace is 1,582. It turned into part of the previous municipality Allinge-Gudhjem. Sandvig is the northernmost a part of the metropolis. Prior to Allinge and Sandvig turning into city areas, people within the bronze age lived there and made rock carvings at Madsebakke. Not all carvings of ships, suns, and footprints have survived, but.
Late in the 19th century, many stone masonries flourished inside the area and a few rock carvings were blown up within the years between 1885 and 1902. Allinge and Sandvig were separate cities, the former fashioned close to the herbal harbour at the northwestern coast, even as Sandvig has been a small fishing village, whose origins may be traced to the Middle Ages, its name derived from a sandy cove at the coast. The port of Allinge dates from 1862, at the same time as that of Sandvig from 1831-33.
