If you are in Pahalgham and have not visited the Baisaran valley famously called as Mini Switzerland then you have seen nothing. A word of caution though, you will have to use ponnies to ride to Baisaran valley as no vehicle is allowed to go there. Also the route remains closed during adverse weather conditions. You should not miss the Aru Valley, Chandanwari valley and Betaab valley. They are all famous for being the site for Bollywood movies. If you have a taste for adventure rides then a visit to Pahalgham club, Children’ Park and Zoo is a must. On your way you should visit famous Awantipora Ruins and Saffron fields on the way. Awantipora ruins are known for being ancient Hindu temples during the reign of King Avantiman who ruled during AD 855-833.
