It will take you around 15 minutes to finish the airport formalities, you will be met by our representative at the airport and then drive along the winding road along the Paro River downstream to the confluence with the Wang Chu then turn upstream and travel along the Wang Chu to Thimphu. Visit the Buddha point (Kuenzang Phodrang) which is considered to be 8 th wonder in the world, visit the Memorial Chorten, dedicated to the Late Third King of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. , visit the mini zoo where Bhutan’s national animal Takin is kept and we visit the Thimphu Tashichhoedzong which has been the seat of the government since 1952 and presently houses the throne room and offices of the king, the secretariat and the ministries of home affairs and finance. Other government departments are housed in buildings nearby.

After breakfast we will visit the royal Heritage Museum which shows us the living life style of Bhutanese people and then visit the Rimpung Dzong (Fortress) which was built in the year 1644 and it’s the Bhutanese architectural masterpiece. Visit Kichu Monastery which was built in the 7 th century to subdue demon on Himalayan region and visit Drukyel Dzong which was built in 1649 to remember the victory over Tibetan invasion in 1644.

After breakfast we will hike up to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery which is Bhutan’s most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche (8th century spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. Lunch will be served in the Cafeteria Restaurant vegetarian menu, located about halfway up on the mountain. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff which will take us around 5 hours hike to finish the trip, about 900 meters above Paro Valley.

After breakfast we will drive to Airport for your onward destination.
