This process brought about a phase of Delhi's glorious renaissance. The fort is Shahjahan's symbol of power and elegance, built behind sandstone walls.Its main gate (Lahore Gate) faces Chandani Chowk, the perpetually narrow avenue heading west from the Red Fort, is filled with twisting lanes, small streets and crowded bazaars. An unmatched beauty, the Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders in the world. Built as a tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal by Shah Jahan, the Taj depicts mute tales of the profound love story between the emperor and his beloved wife. Agra Fort, designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., built with barricaded wall of red sand stone; it houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Meena Bazar, Moti Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Musamman Burj where from Taj Mahal is visible in all its beauty from one side of the fort. So very ironically, Emperor Sahahjahan, prisoner of his son Aurangzeb in his old age was put in a cell from where he could gaze at the Taj Mahal at a distance, from his cell in the fort. Note : Taj Mahal will be closed on every friday.

(once the capital of Rajasthan province -known as "the abode of Rajahs"). Everywhere you will see the monuments of its Rajput rulers. Jaipur is one of the main centers for shopping in India - especially with regard to textiles, jewellery, stones carpets, etc. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Breakfast Between - 07:30 - 08:30 am After breakfast depart for excursion to Amber Fort -11 Km from Jaipur, a marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts. Go up to the fort on the back of a gaily-caparisoned elephant, true to the style of the Maharajas of the past. The interior of the fort has various royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror, and glasswork complemented by exquisite wall paintings. As you move between the rooms of this magnificent structure, you will feel the history and visualize the pomp and grandeur of a kingdom never conquered. Later return to the hotel or to a city restaurant where you can relax & enjoy your lunch. Venture back into the city, for the tour of Jaipur. This afternoon you will visit the City Palace Museum where you can see an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art. The museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armoury of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions, also visit the awe inspiring Jantar Mantar (an accurate observatory built in 1726 AD). Also visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes, and spires. Overnight stay at hotel.
