Terms and Conditions

• * 40% advance to be paid for booking of the total tour package cost.
• If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing. Such notifications shall be deemed to have been given to us only on the date of the receipt of your letter/email, as we can act only upon the actual receipt of the notification. Please state the reason for your cancellation.
• The following cancellation charges shall apply irrespective of the reason for cancellation. You understand and acknowledge that these charges are a genuine pre-estimate of the damages that we will suffer on account of cancellation. These damages are called liquidated damages in legal parlance, which are payable without proof of actual damages. You agree not to dispute such deductions or to demand proof of the actual damages.
• In case of cancellation, the following cancellation charges would apply.
• WHEN A CANCELLATION IS MADE, THE CANCELLATION CHARGES PER PERSON WOULD BE
• Clear 30 working days or more prior to the tour departure date or for non-payment of the balance Tour Cost within the stipulated time frame – the Booking amount / 7.5% of Tour Cost whichever is lower will be deducted * Clear 29 to 16 working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour - 25% of the Tour Cost * Clear 15 to 08 working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour - 50% of the Tour Cost * Less than 07 clear working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour - 100% of the Tour Cost *
• * We will take into consideration the cancellation policy of the hotels used in the package as well.
• GST is included in the package prices.
• At check-in, you must present a valid photo id with the same name. Failure to do so may result in your reservation not being honoured.
• All rooms are guaranteed on the day of arrival. In the case of a no-show, your rooms will be released and you will be subject to the terms and conditions of the Cancellation/No-Show Policy Hotel Policies
• All special requests are subject to availability upon arrival.
• The vehicle used will not be at disposal and will be exclusively used for you only as per the itinerary on a point to point basis
• Manasaro Tours & Travels reserves the right to change/modify or terminate the offer at any time at its own discretion and without prior notice
• The rates are valid for Indian Nationals only
• A 40% down payment at the time of booking is required. The balance is due 14 days before commencement of the tour. If any balance is not fully paid by the date specified, Manasaro Tours & Travels may cancel the tour without any refund whatsoever.
• Prices shall be final and subject to no change once payment in full has been received.
• Manasaro Tours & Travels reserves the right to change hotel bookings should there be no accommodation available. In such as case, an alternative similar hotel will be provided. Should there not be similar hotels available, accommodation at higher or lower category hotels shall be provided. Should there be any cost difference, the price shall be adjusted accordingly.
• In the event the tour is shortened or extended due to force majeure or unforeseeable circumstances beyond Manasaro Tours & Travels’ control, any related expenses shall be the exclusive responsibility of the customers.
• NRI, OCI, PIO Card holders and Foreign National are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit Chhangu Lake with a valid permit. Additionally, they should be in a group of 2 or more to visit Chhangu Lake. To get the permit, these guest will have to bring with them their valid passport and visa, OCI, or PIO Card. Also, 8 passport sized photographs will be needed for processing their permits to Sikkim, Chhangu lake, Lachen and Lachung. It involves additional cost. Kindly contact us for more details.
• Indian Passport Holders need to furnish the below documents to process their permits:
• 3 passport size photographs of each of the members traveling. It includes both, Adults as well as Children and they need to give details such as their name, age and gender written on the rare side of each photograph.
• A photo copy of the Photo ID proof of each of the members - Adult and Children. Original to be carried.
• A list mentioning the Name, Age and Gender of all the travellers.
• Documents issued by the Central or State Government bearing Photo, Name and Address will be considered as ID Proof. The Photo ID Proof can include - Driving License, Voter Card or Valid Passport. Aadhar Card and Pan Card are not accepted as ID proof by the authorities.
• In case of Child below the age of 18 couple where there is no ID proof of the wife, a written declaration needs to be given by the parents / husband.
• For Chhangu Lake and Nathula Pass, there is no refund once the permit is confirmed by Sikkim Tourism authorities. It is also applicable even if the tour is cancelled for any reason including land slide, rainfall, VIP movement, or health issues.
• Optional Nathu La
• The guests can opt for the Nathu La Excursion by paying additional fees*, which ies from month to month. It is not possible to organise the permit at the last moment and requires at least 72 hours’ time, with appropriate documents to process the permit. Nathu La permit is confirmed just a day prior to, or on the day of journey, which is dependent on the working of the permit issuing office, and it is subject to the availability of the permit, which is allotted on a lottery basis. Nathu La is closed on Monday and Tuesday for tourists.
• About Nathu La
• Nathu La is situated at a height of 14140 feet or 4310 metres above sea level and is at a distance of 20 kilometres or one hour drive from the Chhangu Lake. Baba Mandir is situated at a height of 13100 feet or 3994 metres and is 16 kilometres or one hour drive from the Chhangu Lake. The Indo China border is situated approximately 20 kilometres ahead of Chhangu Lake and is at a height of 14140 feet or 4310 metres. The journey to Nathula and Baba Mandir is similar - around 16 kilometres. At a specific point, the road gets bifurcated into a “V” shape. The right side road goes to Baba Mandir and the left side of the “V” goes to Nathu La, which is at a distance of 4 kilometres.
