Covering a wide area in the form of a twin settlement, Lower Dharamsala 1380 m is a busy commercial center, while Upper Dharamsala 1830 m with the suburbs of Mcleod Ganj and Forsythganj retain a British flavor and colonial lifestyle. There is also a large Tibetan community in exile, who has made this their home, living mostly in Mcleod Ganj.
