Early morning we will take you for an exciting elephant safari. Morning after breakfast we visit Kohima village As you enter this village, you notice a number of traditional wooden gates with the scimitar of horns of Mithun. In this village, one comes across wooden carvings looking like horns atop some houses.You can also see relics of stone erections here and there in front of the houses which are memorial symbols of the grand feasts offered by their ancestors. The Kohima War cemetery It was constructed in memory of the officers and men who made supreme sacrifices during World War II. On each grave there are beautiful epitaphs engraved in bronze. The state museum It has a rare collection of artifacts of the different tribes, which inhabit the state. It depicts the different aspects of life of the people in all its varied forms. On reaching Shillong, we will be visiting the Shillong peak, located in the upper Shillong from where one can see the beauty of Shillong city under the clouds giving a perfect picturesque view of the city. After a while we head to the Elephanta falls, the water of this three steps falls comes down in flows from different levels over the fern-covered rocks and falls into the canyon down below. Then visit one of the most romantic place in Shilong, the Wards Lake, located in the heart of the city which was built by the British councils and is a prominent hang-out place in Meghalaya.
