Today, proceed to the Haneda Airport for your flight to Hiroshima. On arrival into Hiroshima visit the Hiroshima Peace Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome (Genbaku Dome) which is a part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The ruin is dedicated for its legacy as the /“first city in the world/” to suffer a nuclear attack and a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Later, take a ferry to the Miyajima Island and visit the Itsukushima Shrine. The centuriesold Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima is the source of both the island/’s fame and its name. Formally named Itsukushima, the island is more popularly known as /“Miyajima/”, literally /“shrine island/” in Japanese, thanks to its star attraction. The shrine is known worldwide for its iconic /“Floating Torii (Gate)/”. Overnight in Hiroshima.
