RISHIKESH Rishikesh also known as Hrishikesh, is a city governed by Rishikesh Municipal Corporation (since October 2017), and a tehsil in Dehradun district of the Indian state Uttarakhand. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India, it is known as the Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas and Yoga Capital of the World. It lies approximately 25 km (16 mi) north of the city Haridwar and 43 km (27 mi) southeast of the state capital Dehradun. According to Census of India, 2011 Rishikesh had a population of 102,138 making it the seventh most populated city in the state of Uttarakhand. It is known as the pilgrimage town and regarded as one of the holiest places to Hindus. Hindu sages and saints have visited Rishikesh since ancient times to meditate in search of higher knowledge.

The best part of the trip was the condition of the vehicle Swift Dzire and the competence of its driver Mr. Nikhil Goyal. Mr Goyal, besides being an excellent driver is also a very nice human being and was very cooperative and informative throughout our 6 day trip. We would definitely rate the transport part of our trip as 5 star. The hotels at Nainital and Kausani were very good and in decent locality with spacious rooms and clean toilets. The choice of food at Kausani was limited but this fact was more than compensated by the grand view of Himalayas our room provided. The hotel at Ranikhet was decent but in a very crowded part of the town. The upkeep of the room could have been better.

Mr Jeetendra was very good and he arranged very very good hotel and good travel tour in Nainital..it's great to see when I booked my trip from Tiago.
