Another famous attraction visited along the bus route is Prague Castle. The castle is a listed UNESCO monument and was built in the 9th century, making it one of the city/’s oldest-standing buildings and one of the best preserved!

Charles Bridge is another historic landmark along the route that crosses the Vltava River. The bridge originally built, Old Judith Bridge, was built in the 12th century, however after serious flooding it was badly damaged and the Charles Bridge was built to replace it!

This tour starts from Operngasse 8, 1010 Vienna. Hop aboard your coach, where you/’ll be welcomed by your local guide. Board your comfortable, air-conditioned coach for your city highlights tour.
Have your camera ready as you drive along the famous Ringstrasse boulevard, home to many of Vienna/’s glorious buildings. Snap photos of the imperious Vienna State Opera as your guide explains its history and role as the home of the legendary /‘Opera Ball/’, the annual Austrian society event.
Admire the grandiose Hofburg Palace, the former winter residence of the Hapsburg monarchs and birthplace of Marie Antoinette in 1755. Then, pass a roll call of other buildings, including the Museum of Art History, the neoclassical Austrian Parliament, Burgtheater and City Hall (Rathaus).
Continue to the magnificent Sch/önbrunn Palace, the 1,441-roomed Baroque summer residence of the Habsburgs, including Marie Antoinette/’s mother, Maria Theresa.
Head inside the UNESCO-listed palace and enjoy a guided tour of its extravagant staterooms to see how the royal family once lived. Then, enjoy free time to explore the gardens with their symmetrical terraces and fountains, or relax with a coffee or snack such as apple strudel (both at own expense) at the caf/é.
Then, rejoin your coach and end your tour with a drop-off back to the State Opera.

Budapest City Tour with Danube Cruise

Begin your sightseeing at the Chain Bridge across the River Danube, and pass by the impressive, neo-Gothic Hungarian Parliament building.

Drive across the Margaret Bridge to the Buda side of the city, the oldest part of Budapest. Here, stop in the Buda Castle District and set off on a short walk around the area/’s main attractions. Stroll to Matthias Church and visit the Fisherman/’s Bastion from where you can enjoy beautiful panoramas over the city.

Next, continue to Gell/ért Hill, home to the hilltop Citadel, and soak in the spectacular views of Budapest. Afterward, drive over the Elisabeth Bridge into Pest, and see the famous Central Market Hall and Europe/’s biggest synagogue.

Then, head for the City Park, and pass the Sz/échenyi Thermal Bath complex and Budapest Zoo before stopping at Heroes’ Square to take in its statues of Hungary/’s founding kings and dukes.

Hear about Hungary/’s 1,000-year past as you see the sights, and follow Andr/ássy Avenue back into downtown Pest, passing the Hungarian State Opera House and St Stephen’s Basilica along the way.

After your 3-hour city tour, enjoy a 1-hour river cruise on the Danube to view Budapest/’s landmarks from a different perspective. During your cruise, refresh yourself with a drink of your choice, selecting a glass of champagne, wine, or beer, or a soda or mineral water.

Enjoy the onboard audio commentary (available in 30 languages) as you sail, before your cruise and tour end at the pier in the city center.
