Once a pleasure retreat of the European planters the town is still very much an English town with many English style bungalows and buildings. Nuwara Eliya is a good escape for those who miss cool breeze in tropical Sri Lanka at any time of the year. Local tourists flock to this town in their ‘season’ from March to May when it is the hottest duration for the town, April being the busiest.

Proceed for breakfast this morning. Thereafter visit the Horton Plains National Park. The Horton Plains National Park, A UNESCO World Heritage is perched on the edge of the Central Highlands midway between Nuwara Eliya and Haputale, another hill country retreat, which consists of the highest plateau of Sri Lanka at 2000 feet and a paradise of bird watchers, nature lovers and hikers. The precipice that falls vertically for over 1050 meters in the park at the southern edge of the highlands to the lowlands below, called World’s End, is an excursion that wouldn’t be missed at all by the holiday makers at Nuwara Eliya. After your visit to Horton Plains, return to your hotel and relax and unwind.

After breakfast this morning, transfer to Ella. Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres 120 mi east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1, 041 metres 3, 415 ft above the sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity dense with numerous ieties of flora and fauna. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. The town has a cooler climate than its surroundings, due to its elevation. The Ella Gap allows views across the southern plains of Sri Lanka. In Ella visit the Nine Arch Bridge, take a trek to Little Adams Peak and visit the famous Ravana Falls. Thereafter check-in to your hotel in Ella and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast this morning. Transfer to Yala. In Yala enjoy a Jeep Safari in Yala National Park. Situated in Sri Lanka’s south-east hugging the panoramic Indian Ocean, Yala was designated a wildlife sanctuary in 1900 and was designated a national park in 1938. Ironically, the park was initially used as a hunting ground for the elite under British rule. Yala is home to 44 ieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards, majestic elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles.

This morning along with breakfast packets proceed for a Whale watching expedition. Transfer to the Mirissa fishing harbour at 06:00am to begin your expedition. After returning back transfer to Negombo . Afternoon relax at the beach. Negombo is located approximately 37 km north of the commercial capital of Colombo in Sri Lanka. It is located at the mouth of the Negombo lagoon. The major beach resort in the West Coast is Negombo. The wide sandy beaches and the safe sea are the main attractions of Negombo and it is perfectly located within 7 km from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, Sri Lanka.
