Media Luna

Media Luna is a metropolis and municipality within the Granma Province of Cuba. It is positioned on the coastal area of the province, bordering the Gulf of Guacanayabo, among Niquero and Campechuela. In 2004, the municipality of Media Luna had a population of 35,330. With a total area of 376 km2, it has a population density of ninety four.0/km2. The city is crossed by using the nation toll road "Circuito Sur de Oriente". The Circuito Sur de Oriente, meaning "Southern Circuit of the Orient", is a west-east motorway connecting Bayamo to Santiago de Cuba, via Manzanillo, Niquero and the southern coastal side of jap Cuba, beneath the Sierra Maestra mountain variety.

Also known as Circuito Guacanayabo-Sur de Oriente, as it crosses the Gulf of Guacanayabo, the call Oriente, refers to the ancient and previous Oriente Province. With a period of 347 km, it's miles the fourth-longest Cuban highway after the "Carretera Central", the "Circuito Norte" and the "Circuito Sur".
