About Una National Park
Una National Park was set up on 29 May 2008 across the rivers Upper Una River, Krka and the Unac. It is Bosnia and Herzegovina’s biggest and most these days hooked up national park. The foremost purpose of the park is to protect the unspoiled Una river and its tributaries Krka and Unac, which run thru it.
Area of the park has rich cultural-ancient history and severa archaeological websites, many relationship from the prehistoric length. Significant historical and cultural historical past of the region inside and outside the park zone are the Roman fort Milanceva Kula, Rmanj Monastery, medieval fort Ostrovica above Kulen Vakuf, in addition to outdoor the park quarter Sokolacka Kula fortress in Sokolac village close to Bihac and Ostrozac Castle among Bihac and Bosanska Krupa. Proximity to Pljesivica mountain virgin wooded area, which stretches among Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, and Croatia’s Plitvice Lakes National Park makes Una National Park a top vacation spot for traffic.
