About Tucepi
Tucepi is a small town and municipality in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. It is located on the Adriatic coast of Dalmatia known as Makarska riviera, approximately five km southeast of Makarska, populace 1,763. It is a famous traveler destination thanks to its scenic shoreline, its possibilities for sports activities and its top notch lodging. The settlement of Tucepi was first settled four thousand years in the past by the Illyrians. Until the earthquake of 1962, most people of its inhabitants had been residing in scattered hamlets like Gornji Tucepi, Podpec, Covici, Srida Sela,
Simici, and Podstup on the decrease foot of the mountain Biokovo and because the 18th century these towns have visible a gradual method of depopulation, as their population commenced moving right down to Tucepi-Kraj, now a four-km lengthy hotel. According to a neighborhood people legend, the Venetian Doge Pietri I Candiano is buried here.
