About Pozega
Pozega is a metropolis in western Slavonia, eastern Croatia, with a total populace of 26,248. It is the place of work of the Pozega-Slavonia County. Between 1921 and 1991, the town changed into referred to as Slavonska Pozega. In German, the metropolis is known as Poschegg, in Hungarian as Pozsega, in Turkish as Pojega, and in Latin as Incerum and Possega. There is a town in Serbia with equal name. "Pozega" is supposed to be associated with the Croatian word "pozar", which means "woodland fireplace".
"Incerum" is meant to come back from Proto-Indo-European words h1eyn and kjer, so that it approach "the heart of the valley". Pozega is positioned inside the south-western part of the Valley of Pozega, or Pozega basin, in Croatian: Pozeska kotlina. This fertile valley has been critical because the antiquity - its Roman call become Vallis Aurea, that means "golden valley". The valley is shaped by means of the Slavonian mountains of Pozeska Gora, Psunj, Papuk, Krndija and Dilj.
