About Northern Velebit National Park
The Northern Velebit National Park is a countrywide park in Croatia that covers 109 km2 of the northern phase of the Velebit mountains, the biggest mountain variety in Croatia. Because of the abundant form of this a part of the Velebit range, the region became upgraded from a nature reserve in 1999, and opened as a country wide park in September the equal year.
The complete of the Velebit variety is a nature park, a lesser conservation class. Another country wide park on Velebit is the Paklenica on its southern facet. The park reserve is included and site visitors are limited to exact trails. Inside the reserve is the Visibaba botanical reserve, with an abundance of the endemic Croatian subspecies of Sibiraea altaiensis, and the Zavizan, Balinovac, Velika kosa botanical reserve, famous for its awesome series of mountain vegetation species. Inside the reserve is the famous Velebit Botany Garden, based by way of pharmacology professor and botanist Fran Kusan in 1967.
