About Luznica Manor
Luznica Manor is a baroque building in Zapresic, Croatia. It is assumed that the manor turned into built at the start of the 18th century. Since 1791 the property become the owned by Rauch noble family. They soon had the manor renovated and further multiplied. At the cease of 19th century, Marija Juric Zagorka, lived within the manor from the age of 3 until 10 years, as her father was estate supervisor for the Rauch family. She later became one of the maximum prominent Croatian writers of a time.
Countess Antonija noticed the talent of young Zagorka, so she made feasible for her to use the fort library and attend personal training lessons along her own children. In 1923, Geza, the very last member of Rauch family was killed below suspicious instances. Following his loss of life, his widow Antonija, bought Luznica, which then became assets of Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. At a time, this order became looking for a big property close to capital, Zagreb, for sixty of its participants.
