About Korcula
Korcula is a Croatian island within the Adriatic Sea. It has a place of 279 km2 46.8 km lengthy and on average 7.8 km extensive and lies just off the Dalmatian coast. Its 15,522 population make it the second one maximum populous Adriatic island after Krk and the maximum populous Croatian island not linked to the mainland by using a bridge.
The populace are almost absolutely ethnic Croats. The island is twinned with Rothesay in Scotland. According to legend, the island was founded by Trojan hero Antenor inside the 12th century BC.
