Duga Resa

Duga Resa is a metropolis in Karlovac County, Croatia. It is located approximately sixty five km southwest of Zagreb and a hundred km east of Rijeka. The earliest connection with Duga Resa is from the 12 months 1380. There are numerous theories on how the then-village received its call: one is that "resa" is a connection with the city human beings's folks costumes; any other is that it is called from a local plant that grows in the area, each on the land and in the water.

The village soon grew right into a city at some point of the industrialization of the location within the overdue 19th and early twentieth century. In the 2001 census, there were 12,114 population in the municipality, ninety six% of which have been Croats. Popular sports include fishing, rafting, searching, boating, swimming, volleyball, football, and biking. The neighborhood churches St. Antun in Duga Resa and St. Peters dates returned to the 14th century. Its geographic location offers the city particularly warm summers and really bloodless winters.
