Rescate Animal Zoo Ave, or certainly Zoo Ave, is an urban park of about 14 hectares, located in La Garita, in the canton of Alajuela, Costa Rica. It has a mean altitude of 814 meters and is bounded to the north with the aid of the bed of the river Rio Poas. The website online includes the largest collection of bird species in Latin America. Much of the land comprising the Zoo become a coffee and sugar cane plantation location. Initially it consisted of privately owned collection of approximately 50 animals.
