Miramar

Miramar is the district number 1 and the head of the canton of Montes de Oro , province of Puntarenas , Republic of Costa Rica . Being a cantonal capital, in Miramar there are banking offices, a clinic of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund , Alcoholics Anonymous , the Costa Rican Red Cross and others. In Miramar the presence of shops is registered: appliance stores, supermarkets, bars and restaurants, hardware stores and others. In addition, there is a market in the center of town. Miramar has the Male Volleyball Team that currently competes in the First Division Tournament of the Country, as well as other disciplines such as Taekwondo, Athletics,

Cycling, Football among others. Also in the canton there is a ring of bulls and various football pitches. Miramar is connected by bus services to the city of Puntarenas and San José . Both services are regular and depart from the center of Miramar where in 2011 a new bus terminal is built on the southwest side of the football stadium.
